2025 FinCoNet Annual General Meeting & International Seminar

The FinCoNet Annual General Meeting was held in Dublin on 26-27 November 2025, hosted by the Central Bank of Ireland.

The AGM was followed by the FinCoNet/Central Bank of Ireland International Seminar on 28 November 2025.

The Open Session of the AGM commenced at 13.30 on 26 November 2025. The FinCoNet Secretariat provided an update on the joint work undertaken by FinCoNet with other International Organisations and groups. Standing Committees 2 and 3 presented their ongoing work. Participants had the opportunity to engage in the FinCoNet Member Roundtable focused on forward-looking supervisory risks, trends and priorities.

Day 2 of the Open Session, on 27 November 2025, began with updates from Standing Committees 4 and 6.  These updates were then followed by a continuation of the roundtable session with presentations from Members, Associates and Observers.  The afternoon session was dedicated to a Workshop featuring an Industry Dialogue on Buy Now Pay Later.

The Seminar was held on 28 November 2025, co-hosted by FinCoNet and the Central Bank of Ireland. The Seminar addressed the following theme: Strengthening Financial Consumer Protection and Supervision in an Increasingly Digitalised World.

The Seminar featured a keynote presentation and two panel discussions. The first panel was Consumer vulnerability in the digital age: Supervisory challenges & opportunities and the second panel was The role of conduct supervisors in public engagement and financial education.
