As part of the FinCoNet Annual General Meeting held in Dublin, Ireland in November 2025, FinCoNet and the Central Bank of Ireland co‑organised a seminar that brought together financial supervisors to discuss how financial consumer protection and supervision can be strengthened in an increasingly digitalised world.
The discussion focused on:
- The supervisory challenges and opportunities in addressing consumer vulnerability in the digital age, and
- The role of conduct supervisors in public engagement and financial education.
The seminar featured expert speakers from across the globe representing: ASIC, Banco Central do Brasil, Banco de Portugal, Central Bank of Ireland, Central Bank of the UAE, FCAC, Financial Market Authority of New Zealand and FSCA South Africa.
